Abstract
This paper presents a short overview of dry deposition measuring techniques for gases and particulates. The eddy correlation and gradient method are briefly discussed and TNO's implementation of both techniques is described. Some typical results of eddy correlation measurements of particle fluxes over the sea are shown and compared with the results of other studies. Results of gradient measurements of NOsub(x) and O/sub 3/ over grass are discussed in relation to photochemical reactions. The results of gradient measurements of ammonia fluxes over heather show high deposition velocities with an average of 1.8 cm/s during day time.
