Abstract
Questions related to the acidification of soils and surface waters by atmospheric nitrogen deposition are discussed using data from literature surveys and papers presented at a workshop in Copenhagen, Denmark in October 1988. The workshop was sponsored by the Nordic Council of Ministers and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. Scientists collaborated to summarize and evaluate relevant data from Europe and North America. (AB).
