Canada's part in providing the Federal Republic of Germany with nuclear fuels

Abstract

It is stated that Canada, despite intended provision to safeguard its own growing demand for uranium by means of governmental regulations, will remain in the future, too, one of the big uranium-exporting countries of the world for the FRG. From 1960-1975 uranium was bought from Canada in amounts which represent about 25% of the overall demand on natural uranium. The quantities already entered into a contract about regarding the FRG's estimated demand for uranium until 1986 will be met to 30% with Canadian extractions.
