Sterilization of small-size media by gamma--irradiation

Abstract

An application of the radiopasteurization method to the culture media of laboratory size was investigated. The radiation dose necessary to diminish the cell counts of the media to 10/sup 00/-3/sup 00/ per 10 ml was found to be not exceed 3,500 krad. Several properties of the irradiated media were also examined in comparison with the autoclaved and tydallized media.
