Abstract
The major topics covered by the International Symposium on Acidic Deposition in Glasgow in September 1990 are reviewed. These include: air pollution control; soil acidification; freshwater acidification; reversibility of the effects of acidification in lakes and streams; effects on vegetation; forests and forest decline; agricultural crops; effects on buildings and materials; critical loads of acidic and nitrogen deposition.
