Path of an atomic explosion aerosol. [In German]

Abstract

No comparable effect was detected on other geiger counters in the same neighborhood at the time when Herbst and Philipp recorded the effect they believe due to an atomic bomb. In reply these authors point out that they used thin-walled counters to detect ..beta..-radiation, whereas Sittkus used tubes suitable for detecting the penetrating component of cosmic rays.
