Abstract
Following the oil price shocks in the 1970s, the transfer of wealth to the oil exporting countries provided opportunities for accelerated economic growth. This book concentrates on the processing of natural resources such as minerals and timber commonly known as resource-based industrialization (RBI). Topics covered include exports, economics, political constraints, performance by firms and sectors and a model of RBI. (UK).
