Abstract
Surface coatings could provide an attractive solution to a potential problem of carbonaceous deposition on fuel cladding surfaces from AGR coolant constituents. Materials testing reactor test results are presented on the performance of thin, ceramic coatings produced by two procedures, sol-gel technology and chemical vapour deposition.
