Abstract
Three high-frequency transmitters are part of the HERA particle accelerator of the 'Deutsches Elektronen-Synchrotron' DESY research institute in Hamburg, Germany. For energizing these transmitters, Holec built three 80 kV-38 A thyristor-controlled dc power supplies. Each power supply is connected to the corresponding transmitter via a 2.6 km double shielded coax dc cable. 2 figs.
