Abstract
Results are generalized of scientific research work in relation to the quality of argillaceous raw material and powders made of it to prepare drilling fluids. The output of the solution of definite effective viscosity is adopted as the criterion for the quality of clay powders. Recommendations are made for the use of jet grinding of clays and the technology of plasticizing.
