Abstract
This volume comprises works which originate from different occasions and times. Its content, however, presents still to-day an up-to-date integrated overall survey of technology research and of the world being shaped by technology. It reaches to an evaluation which in an open-minded and technology-affirmative liberality could present an essential milestone for future assessments of technology and its effects. The works among other things deal with the historical development and the sense of technical doing, technology and education, responsibility for future in the technical age, alienating technology, humanization of technology, innovation as element of life of modern society, system engineering, general tendencies of technological development.
