Controlling pH of primary circuit coolant of PWR by ion exchange resin

Abstract

This paper describes maintaining pH and removing impurity using mixed-bed in the Li/sup +/-form and OH/sup +/-form resin in primary circuit coolant of PWR. The parameter of mixed-bed and its effect factor and systematic technology condition of maintaining pH in loop water are given. The results of a laboratory test and a long time operating test in corrosion loop of a element with heat flux were satisfied.
