Abstract
{sup 3}H-NSP is a current important reagent for introduction of tritium into proteins and polypeptide. The precursor, N-succinimidyl acrylate was obtained by the reaction of acrylic acid with N-hydroxysuccinimide in the presence of DCC and it was tritiated with tritium gas in the presence if 10% Pd-C catalyst. The crude product was purified by silica gel chromatography. The radiochemical purity and specific activity were {approx}95% and 1.35 TBq/mmol respectively.
