Journal Article:

Abstract

The mercury compounds granosan (ethylmercury chloride), agrozan, mercuran and mercurhexan were given to 80 ducks and 142 fowls in single, lethal doses or as repeated doses of one-tenth to one-eightieth of the lethal dose. Characteristic post mortem findings were: severe disorders of haematopoiesis; degenerative changes in the liver, kidneys and myocardium; inflammatory and necrotic processes in the digestive tract; non-reactive necrosis in the liver and kidneys.
