Abstract
Lanthanide and actinide complexes of embelin (2,5-dihydroxy-3-undecyl-2, 5-cyclohexadiene-1, 4-dione) have been prepared and characterised on the basis of thermal, spectral and magnetic studies. Embelin acts as a tetradentate ligand coordinating through its carbonyl and phenolic oxygens. (author). 9 refs.
