Radiative decay of spinless boson and anomalous. gamma. l anti l events

Abstract

We investigate the possibility that the anomalous ..gamma..l anti l events seen at the CERN p anti p collider are due to the chain decay of Z/sup 0/->..gamma..+X/sup 0/ and X/sup 0/->..gamma..l anti l, where X/sup 0/ is an SU(2)sub(L) singlet spinless boson with its mass to be nearly 90 GeV/c/sup 2/. This process well reproduces the characteristic properties seen in the ..gamma..l anti l events such as the observed values of invariant masses M(l/sub 1/l/sub 2/), M(l/sub 1/..gamma..) and M(l/sub 2/..gamma..).
