Unsteady MHD boundary layer of incompressible fluid on circular cylinder with changeable diameter in time

Abstract

The magnetic field is homogeneous and perpendicular to the body. The fluid is incompressible and its electroconductivity is constant. By solving of this problem the two groups of parameters have been used, which are expressing the influence of the outer flow velocity, the magnetic induction and the flow history in boundary layer, on the boundary layer characteristics. The universal equation of the described problem has been obtained in this way, and solved in the three-parametric localized approximation. Using the universal solutions the characteristic sizes, skin friction, momentum thickness and displacement thickness of unsteady MHD boundary layer on the circular cylinder with changeable diameter in time, are counted and analyzed, and this is done without additional integration of momentum equation.
