Case report 540: Grade III conventional sclerosing osteosarcoma of the calcaneus

Abstract

Although osteosarcoma is the commonest primary malignant bone tumor, its calcaneous location, as in this 15 year-old boy, is very rare. However, osteosarcoma must be considered in the differential diagnosis of neoplasms and pseudotumors in this location in the calcaneus, particularly in the event of a sclerosing lesion in an adolescent.
