Abstract

The purpose of the paper was to determine the boundaries of homogeneity region of cadmium selenochromite. Samples of compositions corresponding to the boundaries of homogeneity region were produced by annealing of multiphase mixtures under conditions of mono- and divariant equilibrium of CdSe-CrSe-Se system. CdCr/sub 2/Se/sub 4/ annealing under conditions of mono- and divariant equilibria in CdSe-CrSe-Se system with successive atomic-absorption determination of composition enabled to establish the homogeneity region of cadmium selenochromite at 800 deg C. Composition of cadmium selenochromite inside the homogeneity region changes with respect to all three elements by 1.5-2.0 at%.
