Physical factors affecting recovery rates in flotation

Abstract

This paper reviews the physical factors that influence the rate of flotation of particles with emphasis on the hydro dynamic interactions between particles and bubbles. The flotation process is first order with respect to the particle concentration. The rate constant is strongly dependent on the particle size and the bubble diameter.
