Abstract
Main features are outlined for revisions made in 1984 to TGL 13470, TGL 13472 and TGL 13473 industrial standards of the GDR from 1974 and 1965 concerning the design of steel structures of heavy surface mining equipment, haulage and hoisting machines. Revisions are based on new calculations of partial safety factors, replacing present methods of stability calculations. The new calculation method has been introduced for steel support structures in the building industry (TGL 13500 and 13503 from 1982). It is proposed to put the new revisions for the haulage machine building industry into effect only after 1990, due to the complicated character of calculation procedures. Revised standards are explained with the example of calculation of horizontal forces on haulage equipment's undercarriage wheel sets, boundary load and fatigue strength calculations for hoisting machines, stability of steel girders in heavy surface mining equipment and safety calculations for rope hoists. 31 references.
