Abstract
The quantitative analytical method connecting electrolytic extraction with X-ray diffraction analysis was developed to determine the carbides and TCP in an Ni-base superalloy. The alteration of decomposition of MC and precipitation of M23C6 and M6C with hot-exposure time under 850-1000 C is shown as hyperbolic pattern. The elemental constitution of M23C6 changes continuously under hot exposure; (Cr0.67Mo0.13Ni0.13Co0.07)23C6 precipitates from the beginning, and (Cr0.88Mo0.07Ni0.03Co0.02)23C6 precipitates at the end with the contents in increasing Cr and decreasing Mo, Ni and Co. The higher the hot exposure temperature, the faster the final constitution of M23C6 may be achieved.
