Tidal power plant. Antrieb zur Stromerzeugung in Ausnutzung von Ebbe und Flut

Abstract

The invention refers to a drive unit for electricity generation by using the ebb and flood tides and flowing inland water, where a pontoon in a basin causes a shaft to move by upward and downward movement due to the ebb and flood tides and two racks and two geared pinions. The rotation of the shaft is minimal. It is increased by double gearwheels (principle: corn on the chess board). The shaft is driven by a triple transmission via 7 double gearwheels. As the order of magnitude of the basin and pontoon are unlimited, maximum transmission of force is possible. The important characteristics of the novelty: 2 racks and 2 geared pinions on one shaft, the connecting rod is omitted; use in an engine or a compressor. A further characteristic of the invention is that the double gearwheels are accomodated in one gearbox from the shaft to the axle of the electricity generator.
