Environmental organotin chemistry today: experiences in the field and laboratory. [100 references]

Abstract

The relationship between organometal biogenesis, developments in the measurement of trace organotins, and applications of recent experimental results from the literature and the author's laboratory are reviewed under the headings: abiotic chemistry of organotins in aqueous solutions; comparative reactivity and pathways of aquatic organotins, especially methyltins; recent progress in the speciation of environmental organotins; environmental organotin chemistry today: current problems and trends; occurrence fate of methyltins.
