Abstract
The basic safety standards have the purpose to establish the fundamental requirements in order to protect vs. ionizing radiations derived of the risks by exposure to the radiations and to maintain the safety of the radiation sources which can generate such exposure. With base on principles thoroughly accepted, like the established for the ICRP and the IAEA, it pretend to maintain the safety of the several types of radiation sources and as complement for other standards, already established, destined to specific facilities like reactors, irradiators and radioactive waste store, regarding which they are appropriate.
