Abstract
Some time ago, 'et' magazine took up the discussion of the ethical criteria of political and economic action, and also those of science and technology, which is continued with the following interview. Professor Dr. Auer, moral theologian, keeps his view distinct from system theory and advocates a combination of social, ecological and economic rationality to form 'a rationality of the whole'. To this end, he demands that the interests of human action are ethicalized guided by the overriding criteria of 'common weal before individual weal' and 'ecology before economy'.
