Abstract
Results are presented of studying the effect of oxal T-80 on the standard parameters of salt-saturated muds. The optimal concentration of T-80 was revealed in treating the muds. The findings indicate that additive of oxal T-80 reduces water output by 6-15 cm/sup 3/ in 30 min. Viscosity is insignificantly reduced. The higher the mineralization, the greater the decrease in water output. For conditions of West Kazakhstan, addition of 10-20% T-80 makes it possible to cut in half the consumption of starch in treating salt-saturated clay muds.
