Evaluation of neutron cross-sections of {sup 127}I important for radiation transport calculations in large NaI detectors

Abstract

Evaluations were made of neutron inelastic scattering cross-sections with excitation of discrete levels of the residual nucleus, the (n,2n) reaction, secondary neutron emission spectra and secondary photons for reactions which contribute substantially to production of photons for {sup 127}I with the use of the theoretical model for neutrons with an initial energy of 60 keV-20 MeV.
