Abstract
Exploration of the Sergipe-Alagoas historic, its geological formation and stratigraphy, definition of its actual configuration by tectonics activities, its potentials as oil and gas production since 1939 until presents days are presented. An evaluation of exploratory efforts actually, is made. Redirected exploration toward stratigraphic traps, small accumulations in areas already equipped with production infrastructure, deep gas reservoirs, as well as more sophisticated data treatment, and creativity in the results interpretation are suggested. 8 figs., 6 refs
