Abstract

A study was made of the intermolecular distribution of activity in C{sup 14} -labelled products, formed as a result of the interaction of C{sup 14} atoms with components of binary liquid mixtures containing heterocyclic compounds. Particular attention was paid to the systems indole-aniline, indole-pyridine, {alpha}-picoline-toluene, {alpha}-picolene-aniline, etc. Data were obtained on the relation between the radiochemical yields of labelled products and the concentration of components in dilute solutions and in comparable concentrations of substances in mixtures. Analysis of the experimental results for an additive system enabled us to determine the deviations from the additivity principle. The deviations observed were interpreted as the result of the participation of the second component of the system in the primary and secondary reactions accompanying nuclear transformations. In considering the role of the second component, we took into account the variations in its predominant reaction mechanisms in various concentration ranges. Special attention was paid to the possibility of an intermolecular transfer of the energy of a radiation shield, and also of the mechanism of the corresponding processes. Ils examinent notamment les systemes indole-aniline, indole- pyxidine, {alpha}-picoline-toluol, {alpha}-picoline-aniline, etc. Ils ont obtenu des donnees sur la relation entre le rendement radiochimique en produits marques et la concentration des composants pour des solutions diluees et pour des melanges ou les deux substances ont des concentrations comparables. En traitant les donnees experimentales selon un schema additif, ils ont constate des ecarts par rapport a la regle d'additivite. Ces ecarts sont consideres comme resultant du fait que le deuxieme composant du systeme participe aux reactions primaires et secondaires qui accompagnent les transformations nucleaires. En examinant le role du deuxieme composant, les auteurs tiennent compte des particularites que presentent les mecanismes dominants des reactions subies par ce composant dans les divers intervalles de concentration. (author) [Spanish] Los autores han investigado la distribucion intermolecular de la actividad en los productos marcados con {sup 14}C, formados como resultado de la interaccion de atomos de {sup 14}C con los componentes de mezclas binarias en estado liquido que contienen compuestos heterociclicos. Prestaron particular atencion a los sistemas indol-anilina, indol-piridina, {alpha}-picolina-tolueno, {alpha}-picolina-anilina, etc. Obtuvieron datos sobre los rendimientos radioquimicos de los productos marcados en funcion de la concentracion de los componentes en soluciones diluidas y en mezclas con concentraciones comparables de sustancias. El analisis de los resultados experimentales correspondientes a un sistema de adicion, permitio a los autores determinar las desviaciones con respecto a la normal. Estas desviaciones se consideraron como resultado de la participacion de un segundo componente del sistema en las reacciones primarias y secundarias que acompanan a las transformaciones nucleares. Al examinar el papel desempenado por el segundo componente, tuvieron en cuenta la variacion de los mecanismos de reaccion predominantes en distintos intervalos de concentracion. Examinaron en particular la posibilidad de una transferencia intermolecular de la energfa de resistencia a la radiolisis, asi como los mecanismos de los procesos correspondientes. Polucheny dannye po zavisimosti radiohimicheskih vyhodov mechenyh produktov ot koncentracii komponentov v oblasti razbavlennyh rastvorov i v oblasti sravnimyh koncentracij veshhestv v smesjah.
