Contribution to solving the problem of determining the hydraulic properties of bentonite; Prispevok k rieseniu problemu stanovenia hydraulickych vlastnosti bentonitov

Abstract

Large hydraulic resistance of clay minerals is the most used property. In this regard, bentonite is the most frequent mineral used for sealing barrier purposes in construction and building various types of waste dumps. Large hydraulic resistance of clays is often the cause of various complications of determining these properties. This report inform, how to use equipment that has been designed just for determining the hydraulic properties of particulate materials with high hydraulic resistance. It also shows its advantages and limitations in flow experiments using layers of bentonite Stara Kremnicka - Jelsovy potok. (authors)
