Abstract

The paper discusses a system of measuring and recording units intended for use in a wide range of physical experiments. The basis of the system is a 256-channel register unit with a channel capacity of 2{sup 16} and a control unit. The system is executed on ferrite cores and transistors. The arithmetic element of the register unit makes it possible to perform adding and subtracting operations. The time of a complete cycle up t o the memory is 20 {mu}s. In the control unit, the basic controls, such as the settings for registering, counting and recording, can be combined in any order, which gives a much wider range of application as compared with normal equipment. The frequency of the control unit is taken from a 4-Mc/s quartz generator. As measuring units the system employs a pulse-amplitude-to-cipher code converter with a conversion time of 0.25 {mu}s per channel, integral non-linearity better than 0.1%, differential non-linearity less than 4%, zero drift less than 0.2 V and channel-width instability less than 0,4%, for lengthy periods. The converter system employs tubes. The time selector, which employs transistors, has a channel width from 1 to 64 {mu}s; the channel-width instability is less than 10{sup -4}.  More>>

From the memory unit the information can be passed either in an analogue form to an oscillograph tube or in the form of cipher code to a printer and indicator lamps. (author) [French] Le memoire etudie un systeme de circuits de mesure et d'enregistrement, destine a des experiences de physique extremement variees. Le systeme comporte comme elements principaux un circuit enregistreur a 256 canaux, avec une capacite d'enregistrement par canal de 2{sup 16} coups, et un circuit de commande, les deux circuits etant a ferrites et transistors. La conception arithmetique du circuit enregistreur en assure le bon fonctionnement, tant pour l'addition que pour la soustraction. La duree du cycle complet d'appel a la memoire est de 20 {mu}s. Dans le circuit de commande, les operations essentielles - addition, enregistrement, etc. - peuvent etre combinees dans n'importe quel ordre, ce qui permet de donner a l'appareil des applications beaucoup plus variees que ce n'est le cas dans les appareils existants. La frequence du circuit de commande est assuree par un generateur a quartz de 4 MHz. Le systeme utilise, pour le circuit de mesure, un dispositif transformant les amplitudes des impulsions en un code numerique, avec un temps de transformation de 0,25 {mu}s par canal, une non-linearite totale inferieure a 0,1%, une non-linearite differentielle inferieure a 4%, une derive de zero inferieure a 0,2 V et une instabilite de largeur de canal inferieure a 0,4% pendant un temps prolonge. Este sistema, que consiste fundamentalmente en un dispositivo de registro de 256 canales con una capacidad de 2{sup 16} por canal y en un dispositivo de mando, esta constituido por nucleos de ferritas y transistores. El elemento aritmetico del dispositivo de registro permite efectuar operaciones de adicion y sustraccion. La duracion de un ciclo completo basta la ''memoria'' es de 20 {mu}s. En el dispositivo de mando, el registro, el recuento y la inscripcion pueden ajustarse y combinarse en el orden que se desee; esto da al nuevo sistema un campo de aplicacion mucho mas amplio que el del equipo corrientemente utilizado. Un generador de cuarzo de 4 MHz establece la frecuencia para el dispositivo de mando. En el sistema se utilizan los siguientes dispositivos de medicion: un convertidor de amplitud de impulsos en clave de computo numerico con un tiempo de conversion de 0,25 {mu}s por canal, una desviacion de linealidad integral inferior a 0,1 por ciento, una desviacion de linealidad diferencial inferior al 4 por ciento, una deriva del cero inferior a 0,2 V y una inestabilidad a largo plazo de anchura de canal inferior a 0,4 por ciento. Para el circuito de conversion se utilizan valvulas. El selector de tiempo, para el que se emplean transistores, tiene una anchura de canal variable entre 1 y 64 {mu}s; la inestabilidad de esta anchura es inferior a 10{sup -4}.
