Dancoff calculations for arbitrary absorber lattices

Abstract

Obtaining Dancoff-factors for a complicated fuel element like the teledial element is rather difficult. Moreover it is impossible to reach high precision of results within a reasonable time because the numerical procedures for the direct integration cannot be done quickly enough. From the results presented in the paper, it is obvious that high precision of Dancoff-factor computation is only then fruitful if one can obtain also high precision of temperature dependency treatment.
