Abstract
The steel X6CrNi 1811 (DIN 1.4948) that will be used as a structure material for the German Fast Breeder Reactor SNR 300 was creep-tested in a temperature range of 550-650 degree centigree under base material condition as well as welded material condition. Tests are foreseen up to 30.000 hours with a continuous measuring of the elongation. The present report describes the test results up to about 4-000 hours. Taking into account the results of other programs carried out with the same material between 550- and 600 degree centigree at similar rupture time, were defined the stresses for the long term tests. The main point of this program (Extrapolation Program) lies in the knowledge of the creep-rupture-strength and creep behaviour of the structure materials up to 3.10{sup 4}h at high temperature in order to extrapolate up to 10{sup 5} h. for reactor operating temperatures.
