Abstract

The paper examines the modern inertial measurement methods to reduce shaft downtime. DMT has developed an Intertial Shaft Surveying Method (SSM). This article highlights the technical background and method used how a survey campaign is organised and carried by referring to practical examples in Germany and Australia. 1 ref., 13 figs.
