A relativistic mean field study of new magic numbers in light nuclei at neutron proton drip lines

Abstract

For exotic nuclei near the drip-lines, recently the question of appearance of new magic numbers and/or disappearance of known magic numbers has been of much interest empirically, theoretically as well as experimentally. It was chosen to analyse within the axially deformed RMF formalism, the N = 8 isotones with a view to see if this magic number is still valid and/or new magic numbers appear.
