Abstract
All chemical concentration plants use at the moment a process of lixiviation by agitation for the treatment of uranium ores. It has become necessary for various reasons to study the application of a more economical system which is that of the lixiviation by capillarity in heaps. After presenting the laboratory tests for recognizing the ability of an ore for this type of lixiviation, the authors give an outline of the two semi-industrial tests which are still in progress. The results are such that it has been possible to plan larger installations which are now under construction.
