Abstract
This paper presents the evaluation results of several different scenarios in the analysis of proliferation resistance using PRCALC, a software for the calculation of proliferation resistance (PR) measures. This work is being done to support the evaluation methodology for Generation IV nuclear energy systems. A Markovian model approach is used to perform the detailed pathway analysis and to quantify the measures of proliferation resistance of an advanced light water reactor (ALWR) which can serve as a baseline for comparison of Generation IV concepts. The scenarios studied include reactor misuse and diversion at both front-end and back-end of the ALWR once-through fuel cycle. (author)
