Abstract
The authors study the strangeness of a chemically equilibrating quark-gluon plasma at finite baryon density based on the Juettner distribution of partons. The authors find that the strangeness production depends obviously on the initial values, and will accelerate with the change of the initial system from a chemically non-equilibrated to an equilibrated system. The authors also find that the calculated strangeness is very different from the one on the thermodynamic equilibrium system. This study may be helpful to understand the formation of quark-gluon plasma via a chemically non-equilibrated evolution framework.
