Abstract
The RHIC collider produced Au-Au collisions at {radical}(s{sub NN})=130 GeV during the year 2000. At this energy, particle yields in the perturbatively calculable high transverse momentum (p{sub perpendicular}) region are high, allowing such distributions to be used as probes of the initial state of the collision system through their interactions with the surrounding matter. High p{sub perpendicular} inclusive h-spectra from STAR TPC and STAR-RICH high p{sub perpendicular} particle ratios will be discussed.
