Abstract
Experimental data of the elastic scattering of {sup 6}He with polarized proton target has been analyzed using a simple folding model. As we regard {sup 6}He as three bodies consisting of {sup 4}He+n+n, the potential between the proton and {sup 6}He is obtained by folding the two potentials, one between a proton and {sup 4}He and another between a proton and a neutron, with the density distribution of {sup 6}He. Calculated results of both the differential cross section and the vector analyzing power reproduce the experimental data satisfactorily. It is shown that the vector analyzing power of the p-{sup 6}He scattering is mainly due to the spin orbit interaction between the proton and {sup 4}He. (S. Funahashi)
