Abstract
The thermodynamic of the iodine-iodide-amylose system complex formation in aqueous solutions at the temperatures of 283.15-313.15 K is studied through the potentiometric titration method. The changes in the reaction enthalpy and entropy are calculated. It is shown that no structural rearrangements of the polymer reagents occur by the iodine particles complex formation with the short-chain amylose and the main contribution to the reaction thermodynamic characteristic is made by the structural and solvate rearrangements of the low-molecular reagents and by the process of the amylose channel hollow degradation.
