Abstract
In connection with the participation in the international project on building the accelerator in Swiss the technology of manufacturing plates of a difficult to work steel 05Kh18AN10 20-120 mm thick is developed for welded structures. It is established that steel limit plasticity noticeably increases with strain rate and is weakly dependent on chemical element contents with a standard steel composition. It is shown that metal ductility on rolling is higher than on forging. The deoxidation with silicocalclium along with the modification with boron at optimal melting temperature is noted to improve essentially the workability of cast steel.
