Abstract
Odd-odd nuclei around double shell closures are a source of information of the proton-neutron interaction between valence nucleons. It is performed shell-model calculations for doubly odd nuclei {sup 208}Pb, {sup 132}Sn, and {sup 100}Sn using effective interactions derived from the Bonn nucleon-nucleon potential. The calculated results are compared with the experimental data.
