Abstract
Transfer of {sup 115m}In impurity atoms formed at radiation capture of neutrons and subsequent {beta}{sup -}-decay [{sup 114}Cd(n,{gamma}){sup 115}Cd{yields}{beta}{sup -}-decay] in irradiated metallic cadmium (fluence 4.5 x 10{sup 19} neutr./cm{sup 2}) was studied. It was shown that the transfer rate of {sup 115m}In depends on the degree of defectiveness of the structure yielded by irradiation and tends to decrease during post-irradiation annealing of metallic cadmium. Parameters of indium diffusion in metallic cadmium after annealing of the radiation-induced defects were estimated at E{sub a}=12.56 kJ/mol, D{sub 0}=3.18 x 10{sup -9} cm{sup 2}/s.
