Handbook of fuel cells. Fundamentals, technology, applications

Abstract

This set of four volumes presents the state-of-the-art in the science and technology of fuel cells. The topics covered in the four volumes are: (1) Foundations and fundamentals of fuel cell technology through to the latest technology and contemporary applications. Subjects covered include kinetics, thermodynamics and heat and mass transfer; (2) Electrocatalysis in fuel cells. Subjects covered include electrodes and catalysis, a treatise on the theory of fuel cells and several topics relating to energy conversion; (3 and 4) Technology and applications of fuel cells. These volumes cover sustainable energy supplies for fuel cell development - the key issue of energy storage is dealt with in detail. Volume 4 includes a discussion on the future prospects for fuel cells.
