Fast neutron flux in heavy water reactors; Flux de neutrons rapides dans les piles a eau lourde

Abstract

The possibility of calculating the fast neutron flux in a natural uranium-heavy water lattice by superposition of the individual contributions of the different fuel elements was verified using a one-dimension Monte-Carlo code. The results obtained are in good agreement with experimental measurements done in the core and reflector of the reactor AQUILON.
