Hybrid organic-inorganic materials - in search of synergic activity

Abstract

Energy storage, electrocatalysis, the harnessing of electrochromic and photoelectrochromic properties, display devices, photovoltaics, and sensors are among the many current and potential applications of hybrid organic-inorganic materials. This review surveys these materials, especially those containing conducting organic polymers in combination with a variety of inorganic species. (orig.)
