Use of radioactive materials in Medicine; Uso de materiales radiactivos en medicina

Abstract

The diagnostic studies of Molecular Nuclear Medicine allow diagnose, to confirm and characterize a large variety of illnesses avoiding at the same time the cost and or the risk or other studies for confirming or excluding the illness, providing new information which can characterize more accurately the syndrome which would be present the patient. The new information is reliable since it can be reproduced and with this to make a follow-up adequate of the person. The new and trusty information obtained allows to increase or diminish quickly the probability which the patient had a specific illness. (Author)
