Abstract
The above-named plant is constructed, and studies are conducted on its operation. Before the construction of this 2.4T/day-capable research plant, its details were designed in fiscal 1979 when the plan placed the plant at the Chiba establishment of the Mitsui Engineering and Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. The plan was altered in July of fiscal 1980 for the plant to be built at the Keihin steelworks site of the NKK Corporation, and then partial modification was implemented for the basic and detailed designs of the plant for the second year running. Furthermore, a review was made so that the results of the element studies that followed the designing of the details would be embodied, and the changes were reflected on orders placed for equipment and construction work. These processes culminated in the 2.4T/day-capable research plant, now complete and subjected to inspections by the relevant Government offices. In a study of the operation of the plant, an operating procedure is worked out, and water-handling tests are conducted for each of the stages of operation. The plant will be subjected to a full test operation, improved as required, studied for proper operation, and will undergo additional construction work as required, all these in preparation
